The 34th BIG+BIH October 2012, organized jointly by the Department of 
International Trade Promotion (DITP), the Ministry of Commerce, and the Thai 
Lifestyle Products Federation, is the biggest gift and household products in 
the region.  It is a big event that supports the trendy lifestyle products 
currently growing both in regional and world markets.

"It must be admitted that lifestyle products from Thailand and ASEAN are 
closely watched by people around the globe, because of newly-developed designs 
mixed with local uniqueness and the modernity demanded by world markets.  The 
economic atmosphere of the region also shows good signs throughout.  With 
increasing investment in the region, particularly from Western capitalists, 
from the opening of countries like Myanmar or Laos, has yielded positive 
results to tourism and real estate business, and Thailand's lifestyle products 
have attracted a lot of demand from the markets.  Therefore, BIG+BIH October 
2012 is an event that is being followed as the stage where operators present 
their products to the world markets via more than 100,000 participants around 
the globe, including real estate owners, suppliers, and end-users.  I wish to

BIG+BIH October 2012 comes with special zones to perfectly direct the trend of 
designs of both the ASEAN market and the world market.  The "Design Hall" - a 
zone that shows products which reflect new trends by new-generation designers, 
and the "International Pavilion" - a zone that exhibits designs from more than 
80 countries around the world, or "Thai Products Project Exhibition" - a zone 
where Thai products of good designs are awarded the DEmark Award, etc.

BIG+BIH October 2012 under the concept of "Heart of Design & Lifestyle Showcase 
of ASEAN" is scheduled to be held during 16th-21st October 2012 at the Bangkok 
International Trade and Exhibition Centre, Bang Na, Bangkok.  Business Talk Day 
is during 16th-19th October from 10.00 - 18.00 hours.  Retail Day is during 
20th-21st October 2012 from 10.00 - 21.00 hours.
